Dedicated to enhancing the combat capability of America's Air Force, the Air Education and Training Command (AETC) is tasked with recruiting and training the world's best pilots and aviation support personnel. Employing an army of approximately 60,000 recruiters, educators, and flight instructors, the AETC operates Air University as well a number of other smaller training programs. Headquartered at Randolph Air Force Base in Texas, the AETC oversees operations at thirteen bases located throughout the United States. This coin salutes the mission of the Air Education and Training Command to foster the growth and development of the world's most advanced aviation force. The obverse contains the emblem of the Air Education and Training Command. The reverse bears the official symbol of the U.S. Air Force. Minted in a brass alloy, this coin is imbued with colofrul enamel on both sides.
